Reported contributions by recipient and date

The Financial Times reported $238.5 million from Musk to America PAC and $20.5 million to RBG PAC at its December 6, 2024 cutoff. The $75 million third-quarter America PAC figure is included in that later America PAC amount. Politico reported $5 million each to two congressional Republican super PACs in June 2025.

Legal proceedings

The cited records include a Pennsylvania injunction decision, a Wisconsin commission referral and a later reported decision by the special prosecutor to decline bribery charges.

Overseas advocacy and Starlink

ARD reported Musk’s AfD advocacy. The Guardian reported Farage welcoming Musk’s support and describing a reported $100 million donation figure as exaggerated. The cited Starlink records include communications aid, government purchases, company donations and oversight findings.

Musk Foundation and XPRIZE

The foundation record uses EIN 85-2133087. Its 2024 IRS-derived summary reports $474.38 million in charitable disbursements and labels assets at book value. XPRIZE identifies the foundation as sponsor of its $100 million carbon-removal prize purse.

NASA announced its SpaceX lunar-lander contract in 2021. The DOGE order sets out an institutional framework. The FAA follow-up describes testing and includes the company’s denial of a claimed contract replacement.

Disclosures and later legal outcomes

The SEC announced a 2018 civil settlement with Musk and Tesla, with $20m penalties each and no admission or denial. A separate Twitter-disclosure case later produced a reported July 2026 approval of a $1.5m trust settlement. Both are civil proceedings.
