Research and Editorial Standards
How We Work
Explorvia.com brings human editorial staff, member researchers and an AI research agent together to investigate the people and events that shape our world. Member-supported research builds a shared evidence base for written reports, interactive visualizations and publication through Explorvia.news.
Original evidence
We prioritize original evidence. Court records, laws, financial disclosures, government data, original statements and other primary documents form the foundation of our reports and visualizations. Fact-checked journalism corroborated across independent sources supplies additional reporting, context and leads, but never overrides the underlying data.
Equal scrutiny
We apply the same search and verification standards to every person, regardless of political party, office, prominence or wealth. We verify identities, examine relevant records, follow documented connections and seek evidence that supports or contradicts a claim. Reports distinguish documented facts, attributed allegations, testimony and court findings.
Law and public power
When an action involves public power, we compare the documented conduct with the U.S. Constitution and applicable federal, state or other relevant law. Supported potential conflicts are flagged in red alongside the governing text and evidence. Allegations, pending proceedings and established legal findings retain their distinct status.
AI-assisted reporting
Human editorial staff and member researchers direct the work. The Explorvia.com AI agent is instructed to organize and report evidence without partisan preference, invented connections or unsupported conclusions. Reports link findings to their sources and retain relevant dates, context and contrary evidence.
Reports and visualization
Written reports and visualizations use the same supporting evidence. Maps place documented locations accurately; timelines preserve source dates; relationship lines describe the connection shown by the records. A visual connection carries the meaning stated in its report.
Corrections and care
We protect victims’ identities and sensitive personal information. As new evidence becomes available, we update findings, preserve source provenance and correct documented errors. Generated illustrations are presentation aids and are distinguished from documentary evidence.
